TAX SALE is right around the corner!!!
If you are behind on taxes, before you know it, Bexar County will be getting ready to sell your property from underneath you.
You can do one of three things:
1. Call the County and set up a payment plan with them.
Bexar County will work with you. They want you to stay in your home if you want to keep it. It will take some effort on your part. They will require a down payment and a regular payment every month. They are very strict about the payments, but you can keep your home just by going downtown to:
Tax Assessor-Collector Office
Vista Verde Building
233 N. Pecos La Trinidad
San Antonio, TX 78207
and making a payment to them. Go to the 2nd floor and let them know you are behind and want to keep your home. Everyone is very friendly and is willing to help with your situation.
2. If you cant make a payment and still want to stay in your home, talk with someone at the Rio Grande Legal Aid
They have people who can help. They will want to speak with you in person and find out your situation so that they can help.
3. Sell me your home.
If #1 and #2 will not work for you, selling may be the only other option next to losing your home and getting nothing in return. I purchase homes all the time. I can help with the issues that you have and get you out of the home.
